Over The Stage Bottle
The Stage Bottle is a specialist dive shop in Okkenbroek, a small village a short drive from Deventer in the Netherlands. The shop is owned and led by Sebastiaan Schimmel, an experienced diver who applies his practical knowledge to every aspect of the business.
I have been scuba diving since 2006, when I earned my PADI Open Water certification in Curaçao, followed by Advanced Open Water in 2008 and Rescue Diver in 2022, with various recreational specialties in between. My technical dive training began in 2023 with the TDI Intro to Tech, Advanced Nitrox, and Decompression Procedures certifications, followed by TDI Trimix in 2025 and Intro to Cave in 2026. I am also a certified TDI Advanced Gas Blender for mixing Nitrox and Trimix gas mixtures.
You can regularly find me underwater, both in and outside the Netherlands, diving Dutch lakes, Caribbean reefs, or caves and mines abroad. I'm a big fan of sidemount diving and dive exclusively in this configuration.
