XDeep is a Polish manufacturer of high quality dive equipment. Their Sidemount wing is probably the best known and most used sidemount wing out there.
Above water, it is not always visible where divers are located. Due to currents, you can drift away, and if there is a lot of boat traffic, it can be dangerous for divers just below and at the surface. As a diver, you are also not easily visible to boats when you are floating at the surface because you do not come above the waves. In this case, a delayed surface marker buoy (DSMB), also known as a deco balloon, is very useful. By deploying the DSMB, you become visible at the surface. The boat you are diving from can locate you if you have drifted, and other boats in the area will know that there are divers present.
The DSMB can also be used as a visual reference during deco and safety stops. By deploying the DSMB, you can use the line as a reference to maintain your depth and control your ascent rate.
This XDeep closed DSMB is 140cm long and is closed at the bottom. You can easily inflate the buoy with your mouth or with the hose from your inflator. The XDeep DSMB is also visible at very long distances at night and is equipped with 3M Scotlite reflective tape with SOLAS maritime visibility certification.
This is the narrow version of the DSMB, making the buoy easy to carry in the pocket of your suit or cargo pouch.
