It is purpose-built to simultaneously manage a primary illumination system and an active heating system through a dedicated dual-port E/O configuration. This design provides a single, robust, and reliable power solution meticulously designed for demanding, long-duration dives in challenging cold-water environments.

Redundant Power Management and Core Functionality

The system's primary design focus is operational reliability through power segregation. It features two independent, waterproof E/O ports. One port provides continuous, "always-on" output, intended for a primary light head. The second port is independently controlled by a low-profile magnetic switch and is dedicated to managing an active heating system (e.g., vest, gloves). This separation ensures that a malfunction or short circuit in one ancillary system cannot compromise the function of the other.

The high-capacity 23,45 Ah (256 Wh) Li-Ion battery pack delivers substantial burn times, critical for extended decompression or exploration profiles. The magnetic switch mechanism operates without any mechanical feedthroughs or bushings penetrating the canister hull, which eliminates a common historical failure point and significantly enhances overall system integrity.

Construction and Design Details

The ACCU THERMO TYPE 24 housing is constructed from a combination of hard-anodized aluminum and high-grade Delrin® (polyacetal), materials selected for their optimal balance of chemical resistance, low weight, and extreme durability against impact and abrasion.

Reliability is further engineered through a redundant sealing system on the main canister cap. The charging port is external, allowing the battery to be charged without opening the main compartment, thus protecting the internal electronics and seals from environmental contamination or wear. A built-in safety (overpressure) valve is integrated as a standard fail-safe.
